| We are a private, not-for-profit, community service organization that provides social, education, and recreation programs for children, youth, families, and senior adults living in the greater Henniker community. We are governed by a Board of Directors (see below) comprised of area citizens with varying interests and connections to the center.
White Birch Community Center began as a cooperative preschool, Crayon College, in 1974.
It was incorporated as a community center in 1982.
Our mission is to enrich the lives of our citizens by providing social, education, and recreation programs for families, children, and adults in a stimulating, supportive, and safe environment.
Funding for services and programs comes from program fees, donations, grants,
Granite United Way, Town of Henniker, USDA,
the NH Department of Health & Human Services and Department of Education.
White Birch Community Center is affiliated with
the Granite State Association of Non-Profits,
the NH Child Care Association.
